Great Wolf Lodge for the New Year!

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine for the holiday. We love going, as its our 3rd trip, and it just gets better and better! Gavin really enjoyed our Kid Camp room, it has a little "tent" area with bunk beds and TV inside our hotel room. They had lots of activities for New Year's Eve, including the craft moment above where Gavin was making 2009 glasses, along with face painters, balloon artists, karoke, clowns, and a balloon drop at midnight. It was a SUPER fun family time! Gavin especially enjoyed the airplane sightings, as the resort is located very close to DFW! See more of our Great Wolf adventures in the following posts! Happy New Year to you!

Indoor Waterpark Fun!!!

On Gavin's 3rd vacation to the Great Wolf, he was able to do more and more! He could slide on most of the kiddie slides all by himself, and loved every second. He also loved the wave pool! He didn't like me holding onto him the entire time, but learned to deal with it! Nothing beats playing in a waterpark in the winter time! And what better way to spend New Year's Eve???

ICE!!!

On New Year's Day, we ventured outside the Great Wolf Lodge, across the street to the Gaylord Texan Resort, to checkout their ICE exhibit. It was great! Since it is three degrees inside, everyone gets to wear the lovely blue parkas. Gavin did not like it at first, who could blame him, he could barely move, but came around to it later. They had a huge slide made of ice, and a huge Santa made of ice, both for sitting on and sliding on. Besides the very cold temp, it was awesome! (This coming from a non-fan of cold weather.) We highly recommend this exhibit, its at the Gaylord every holiday season!

The Gaylord Texan

After viewing the awesome ICE display at the Gaylord Texan, we toured the rest of the resort. We have stayed at the Texan, but it is so much more awesome during the holidays! Gavin loved the life-size gingerbread house, and was in awe at the HUGE guitar, as he is all about musical instruments, especially guitars. What a beautiful resort!

On way home...

On our way home from Dallas today, Gavin had enough of the stalled traffic! He grabbed his steering wheel and laid on the horn. Wish it would have helped, but we sat at zero mph for over 45 minutes!

Christmas with Nana!

We had our final round of Christmas celebrations with Kat's Mom and sisters last Sunday. Gavin had lots of fun with cousins Sydney and Jaxon, as well as with Nana, Pop, Aunt Julie, Uncle Bradley, and Aunt Kayla!
